The Emerging Arts Advocates Programme will run between Thursday 9th Oct – Sunday 19th Oct - Please note that the times listed are indications only.
This will include a mix of evening shows and weekend daytime shows. Please note Friday the 17th Oct will be a full day of activities from 9am – 3pm. Venues will be in both Napier and Hastings.
The Emerging Arts Advocates Programme (EAAP) has been created to inspire rangatahi who love performing arts.
You’ll get free access to festival shows, Q&As with artists, backstage tours, workshops and panels. It’s all about exploring careers, building confidence, and getting hands-on in the arts world.
Connect with artists, producers, and techies, while gaining real-world skills and insight into creative careers.
EAAP is here to support the next wave of performers, creators, and changemakers—and help shape a bold, diverse arts scene in Hawke’s Bay.
Presented by Toitoi - Hawke's Bay Arts and Events Centre in partnership Arts Inc Heretaunga.
Criteria:
Year 11-13 (15-18 years old)
Currently participating in the Creative Arts (subject at school, extra curricular activities etc.) and looking to build a career in this field
Must be able to attend evening performances
Must provide own transport
Applications close Tuesday September 16th. Successful applicants will be contacted by Thursday September 25th.
